Sleek and modern, prime oak worktops combine a modern and natural look
Last Updated on October 7, 2020
If you’re looking for a statement piece in your kitchen that doesn’t overpower the space, then perhaps one of our prime oak worktops will be able to tick all of the boxes. Oak is our most popular of materials to design worktops in and because the wood itself is so diverse, we have been able to style a range of different models to suit the precise needs and wants that you may have.
Alongside standard oak designs, which offer a range of varying staves that offer a unique and homely style, we also can create a more rustic look for you which is full of knots, whirls and swirls that are bound to make an impression. If you are looking for something a little more minimalistic in your kitchen, however, then perhaps our prime oak worktops, which boast more clean, straight lines and a more uniform pattern will be the right fit for you.
You can combine the sleek, clean modern look in your home with some natural edges that can really compliment your style. If you’re uncertain how it may look in your home, then you can always order a sample to give you an idea of how it can look.
We also offer guidance on colour matching with our Visualiser, a tool that allows you to see how your final worktop will look in your kitchen alongside different colours and styles of cupboards.
This really gives you some insight into how one of our prime oak worktops can work for you and become the centrepiece of your home, which is rightfully what a kitchen bench is for. Read on to see what else we can provide you if you are considering investing in the enjoyment that one of these durable pieces can bring you.
Our construction
We offer various construction types in the form of different size staves. We either have a standard 40mm stave or the deluxe 80mm stave to choose from. Both designs allow you to enjoy the diversity and beauty of the wood. The 40mm and 80mm design options both use finger-jointed construction whereas the full stave design, which runs the length of your worktop is glued and pressed together. We always follow the grain and pattern, especially with our prime oak designs so that a sense of uniformity is achieved, even when differing pieces are placed together.
The final result is something that is both pleasing to the eye and to the imagination. You can really get lost amongst the patterns as each stave tells a story. Truly belonging in the heart of the home, we take pride in providing you with these artistic creations that are both beautiful and functional.
Rest assured that the wood itself is extremely strong and durable so that you can enjoy a lifetime of use out of one of our worktops. Because we source the wood from areas that are known to produce strong and resilient timbers in an ethical manner, you can feel positive in knowing that you will receive quality in a sustainable way.
