Warm, sandy, unique, stylish - just some of the words that we think describe this lovely and legendary Pine Wood. It’s easy to maintain and versatile, and is ideal for furniture boards and even more suitable for staining. Available with 80mm wide staves. about the worktop

Why white pine worktops?

House of Worktops is proud to offer its customers this distinct wood. It’s low-cost and durable, while its striking white colour provides a fantastic complement to other kitchen and home furniture. The light colour also allows its grain and knots to stand out. It’s also a reasonably durable wood, making it well suited for use in making furniture. Its relatively light weight is a bonus, so we recommend it if you’re in the habit of moving things around! For those on a budget, pine provides a good choice, especially given that it can withstand changes in humidity and temperature well.

We recommend this wood for furniture for the above reasons, as well as aesthetic ones. The distinct white colour ages nicely, giving it a certain charm. If the Pine Wood were to be used for Kitchen Worktop, proper oiling is more important than with any other wood type.
Durability
The wood is quite durable, and is quite stiff. Given its light weight (and lightness on the pocket, may we add!), it is an attractive option for making furniture. It’s a pliable wood that can be mounted easily, making it well suited for intricate woodwork.
