about the worktop
For centuries the Oak Wood has been a symbol of longevity, survival, strength and protection. No wonder why the Oak is the most beloved wood type for a wooden worktop, which sits at the heart of our kitchens. The deluxe oak worktops are comprised of wider and spacious 80mm staves that allow each individual piece to proudly carry a diverse pattern of grains and knots that are one of a kind. The Rustic quality, truly our most favorite, allows the wood to express its uniqueness and characterfulness to the fullest extent by exposing its unique composition of knots, grains and color hues. To get a better understanding of the Oak Timber, check out our blog.
Durability & Origin: Alongside its harmonical appearance, our Black Sea Oak grows to become 15% harder and denser, due to the stress caused by the harsh temperature differences throughout the summer and the winter seasons. The continuous internal thermal expansions and contractions change the microstructure of the fibers - they attain a harder and a denser structure, similar to how a muscle would react under tension. Hence this makes our Oak an extremely hard-wearing timber surface that will certainly last a lifetime. Since it is our duty to provide you with an extensive variety of kitchen oak worktops to choose from, we also offer Deluxe Oak, Prime Oak and Oak worktop.
