Having a grey kitchen gives it a highly contemporary look. It is a shade that can be accented with any other colour of your choosing. Grey is such a versatile colour that it can be used in any area of the kitchen, from cabinets to worktops, from appliances to accessories.

White appliances may be too stark for a grey kitchen, unless you have also opted for bright white walls and flooring, so do bear this in mind when choosing which appliances to buy. You don’t want to end up making your grey kitchen look cheap by not thinking these decisions through carefully.

Flooring

Concrete flooring is a natural grey colour, and is heavily used in the kitchen as it is durable, hard-wearing and non-porous, making it hygienic and easy to clean. A light concrete will contrast nicely with dark units, and vice versa. Stone or ceramic tiles in a contrasting shade of grey are also good options. Or stick with another neutral in black or white, to make the grey kitchen pop.

Your best option here is to go for a completely different colour that works with the grey, to bring the whole scheme together.
